“I prefer to focus on who I am as a person and what I stand for. We all want to look good, but I find it more rewarding to work on feeling good and going a bit deeper beneath the surface.” ~ Alesha Dixon
In Second Life, it really is as simple as spending some lindens and the click of a few buttons to look beautiful. However, it takes more than that to be beautiful on the inside. I’m not sure why people would waste so much time and energy on being a nasty human being, but it certainly seems to be as prevalent in SL as it has ever been in RL. Some people go so far as to advertise their bitchiness in their profiles, though to be fair, I suspect that’s more of a defense mechanism. So, it’s like this, surrounding yourself with people that are beautiful on the inside is going to bring out your inner beauty. It works the other way, too, so careful not to surround yourself with too much hate and negativity, cuz no matter how cute you think your avatar is…that personality won’t stay hidden for long. *winks*
We all need balance in our lives, an exchange that allows time for our jobs, leisure, socializing, and other activities. Making room for each area can improve our daily lives, as well provide outlets to pursue new interests.
Remember playing teeter totter or seesaw as a kid, trying to balance with a friend, suspended in the air, without moving up or down? But let one of you hop off, someone was falling on their ass HARD. The same can be true about a life that’s too imbalanced. Too much focus in one area leaves other areas neglected and eventually we fall on our ass.
Of course, its going to be damn near impossible to achieve that perfect balance in all areas of our lives, but if we can space some time from those activities that demand the most from us and redistribute some of that energy…well, we’ll be a lot closer to obtaining that balance that is so badly needed to enrich the quality of our lives.
So, almost everyone knows that Netflix & Chill has lost it’s original meaning and turned into code for something comparable to a booty call. I personally still think of it is as me binge watching TV from the comfort of my bed with some good snacks! However, sometimes I’m irritated or anxious and sitting still watching television isn’t going to do the trick. Sure, I could take a xanax and calm down, but then I’d pass the fuck out. That’s too chill, especially when I’ve got so much on my plate. This past year I was introduced to Guild Wars 2 and I’ve got to say it has become the perfect escape for me. There are times that I am simply not feeling social, but going into another virtual world to kill monsters? Oh yes, please!!! Plus, its no big secret that I’m a lover of violence!
The minute I saw this fantastic form fitting bodysuit from Bueno, my mind immediately went to Kill Bill, as it is one of my favorite films of all time. I even did a term paper in college on Beatrice, but that’s a story for another time. It probably would have been more appropriate for this picture, but anyone that reads my blog regularly knows that I do what I want! *laughs*
There are few guarantees in life, but one thing is for sure. You will get hurt. You will find yourself in some of the darkest places imaginable right in your own head. You will eventually die. And no matter who you are if you have tits bigger than a B cup and you sleep in a tank top, you will wake up with one tit out. It never fails.

Have you ever wondered why so many men hold their hands in front of their genitals? Some even go so far as to cup them….right in public, like it’s nothing. You don’t see women going about with their hands on their tits or snatch. So, what is it with men? Why do they feel the need to hold it? Are they afraid its going to fall off? Are they protecting it from some invisible force that’s going to injure them? Did Michael Jackson make it look so cool that they all want to squeeze their bits so they can sing those high notes? Surely not, that sounds terribly painful.
It’s rarely professional looking types in suits either. It’s usually those in baggy pants. Perhaps they’re wearing boxers or not wearing underwear at all and miss the support that briefs provide. Perhaps they never graduated from the phallic stage of their lives. Maybe they just like the way it feels in their hands. I don’t know, but I sure find it peculiar. I’d love to hear other theories and if any men are reading this, perhaps you can enlighten me…why do you hold it?
I’m just going to let this song do the talking for me today. My favorite line is captioned under the photo and the video awaits you beneath the credits. In the meantime, I get off on you…getting off on me…*grins*….yeah, I’m in a mood.

The world is a strange place and Second Life is even stranger. I have yet to have one single day in SL that I didn’t at the very least ask myself, “WTF?!” It could be something crazy in my inventory and I’m questioning my sanity on the day I made that purchase. A lot of times I run into some pretty strange looking avatars and think it, as well. However, nothing makes me go, “WTF?!” more than how some people treat each other. I’m not talking about trolls and griefers. I’m talking about people that play with each other’s emotions. Or those people who genuinely think they are superior in a virtual world because of the clothes they wear or how their avatars look. I don’t personally understand a lot of the looks and lifestyles in SL, but one thing I will defend to the death is their right to enjoy the freedoms of consenting adults. With the mass diversity we have on the grid, I find it utterly disgusting at this time of year when someone says, “Happy Holidays” and is shot down for not saying, “Merry Christmas.” Or vice versa. Someone just wished me well…who cares why? I’m not a Christian, but if someone wishes me a Merry Christmas, I will wish them one back. Why? Because its their holiday and I’d love for them to enjoy it. So, everyone needs to chill out and wish each other well…not start world war 3 over politics and religion during what should be happy times. Afterall, WTF is wrong with wishing someone a little happiness?
