I am such a sucker for decor and houses in SL. I took a break from blogging home decor for a few months a while back and I missed it so bad, I had to return. I’m far from being one of the top home decor bloggers, but I can promise you that it tears at my heart each time I build a scene and tear it down. However, once in a while I come across things that scream to me that they should be together. That is exactly what happened to me when I saw this kitchen set at 6 Republic and then saw this skybox from Toro. Home Office

It’s getting unbelievably cold outside at night, but during the temperatures during day fluctuate 10-20* from what they are at night. My poor desk is staying cleaner, but I’m getting farther and farther behind. So, today, I’m going to do everything I can to get caught up in SL…yes, this is how I shall spend my Saturday. Hell, I went to bed at 8pm last night with a handful of medication.
I’ve always dreamed of having a beautiful study much like this one. I see photos of other people’s desks on FB and I’m can’t help but wonder how the hell they keep them so clean. It’s definitely something I’m working on. In the meantime, if you’re like me and love office supplies and fun ways to decorate a home office or study area. Coffee House

I’ve always love quaint, comfy locally owned coffee shops. Long before Starbucks put itself in ever Target and strip mall they could fine, before Dunkin was better know for their coffee than their donuts, there were these amazing little coffee shops in my area. They made you feel at home. The coffee was great, the people were great, the atmosphere was great. Though each coffee house had its own energy and style, each one was equally welcoming. Sadly, when Starbucks and Dunkin popped up everywhere with their fancy little drive thru windows…and life got busier…and I pulled away from my friends…well, I don’t even remember the last time I was in one of those coffee houses.

Fall Into Autumn

Oh get your dirty minds out of the gutter, I am not talking about some hot girl named Autumn. Yeah, I know my readers. *laughs* I’ve been working on this room for over a week. I kept adding to it, taking away, moving this, replacing that. Finally, I got it the way I want it. I look at the room and wish I could sink down in that couch with a good book. It sorta dawned on me, that I have a beautiful living room with furniture that is less than a year old and superbly comfortable. It needs to cool off first, that room is almost all windows and its too bright…too hot in there. *hisses at the sun*

Play Time

I see videos all the time of people recording their pets when no one is home. Their animals get into all sorts of things. However, mine seem to save their high jinks for an audience. We don’t come home to broken things or accidents. Nope, my animals do it all while we’re home. The most absent we can be is when we’re sleeping.
Now with my dog, Zoey, I know she’s being polite by not waking us up if she needs to go out. She’ll go in the kitchen where she knows it’s easy to clean up, rather than having an accident on a rug. She’s a good girl and smart, too.
My cat, Mr. Mayhem, on the other hand, is the epitome of an asshole cat. He seems to think that if he gets in enough trouble, we’ll throw him outside. Unfortunately for him, I know the story of Brer Rabbit. Mostly, I just yell at him as I chase him under furniture screaming, “You better learn to use the phone and dial the ASPCA, cuz I’m about to whoop your ass!”

The Desert

I’ve always wanted to see the desert. I’ve seen some beautiful mountains, both in the U.S. and in Europe, but the desert…nope. Maybe one day before I die, but it’s doubtful. I don’t foresee my ass getting on a plane, that’s for damn sure. As for a road trip? Sure, it sounds like a blast, but to be fair, if I’m heading west in a car, I’m heading for Utah. Clearly, not for the site seeing, but that’s where one of my best friends lives and I’d rather see her than some long ass stretch of sand. Which is what I’ve been told the desert looks like by those that have lived there. They don’t seem to find it all that impressive at all. I suppose that’s like New Yorkers never going to the top of the Empire State building or the Statue of Liberty. Sometimes it takes an outsider to appreciate the things we so often take for granted.

Anyway, all this hacienda themed stuff really had me thinking about that…and well, there ya go…that’s how my blog works…lol.

Okay, so I was struggling with ideas for what to write about with this photo, because this one just kinda happened all on its own. That happens to me a lot. Sometimes I start with looking for a pose to show off an outfit or item and from there I end up building a scene around myself. I just woke up from a nice long sleep and I’m thrashing about for an idea. So, I take the internet and start looking for quotes about selfies and desire. Lord, the quotes about selfies are not very nice. So, with the sexy look of the photo and the neon sign, I decided to look for quotes about desire. Having spent the majority of my life in the Southern U.S., “feeling froggy” is a common phrase. Now, its usually a rather redneck or ghetto term between two people arguing that are very close to a physical altercation. One threatens the other, so the other says, “Oh, if you feeling froggy then jump, muthafucka!” Imagine this in Samuel L. Jackson’s voice, its much more badass that way. However, what if instead of jumping, we took a step back and for just a minute took a deep breathe and centered ourselves? My yoga friend here taught me that not all frogs feel like jumping, sometimes they just wanna chill out and relax. To be fair, have you ever seen two frogs fight?
