He was having a hard time keeping his hands to himself as he watched her pose her pretty kitty self on the silk draped stool. He kept his hands in his pocket, but his thoughts poured from his mouth as he told her what he really wanted to do to her. If only she was his…if only he were available to pursue her. He licks his lips and shakes his head, “You are a bad, bad kitty. If you were mine, I would….” His voice trailed off as he closed his eyes and watched the visions in his head.
She giggled, “You would what?”
He took a deep breath and muttered, “I am trying to behave. I should go.” He winked at her and left smiling.

Treat or Trick?

Here we go…into the season of delicious treats and calories galore. Here in the U.S. its all about the gluttony. We’ve got candy everywhere for Halloween. Then there’s an endless array of traditional dishes for our most gluttonous holiday of them all…Thanksgiving! Luckily for me, I just made a major lifestyle change a week and a half ago. No more crappy foods. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had my fair share of delicious junk food over the years. I won’t be missing out on anything except the calories and toxins in those foods. Over the past six months, I’ve watched a friend of mine shift to a plant based diet and she’s done super well with it. That’s not for me, but I did want to get away from the processed foods and the fried foods and all the sugars I was taking in on a daily basis. I’ve already lost some weight and I’ve got a friend doing this with me. It’s exciting to compare recipes and discuss how different we feel physically. When I saw all the amazing treats tha were presented at Salem this year, I knew I wanted to take a picture of someone sneaking off to eat the bad stuff. So, here it is…me celebrating the season.

Saving Ourselves

When I was growing up I was told the same fairy tales that most of us heard. You knw the ones where some princess or beautiful maiden needed to be rescued? Then magically some handsome prince would come along, save the girl, and they would live happily ever after. I don’t remember any of the fairy tales being about a woman saving a man or saving another woman, much less saving herself. I grew up waiting for some man to come along and save me from the one man I should have been able to trust the most. It never happened. Looking back now, I wish I had been taught that women are amazingly strong creatures and fully capable of rescuing themselves, as well as helping each other. Instead, I was taught that women were out to get each other and that only a man…a handsome prince, usually, could come save the day.
One thing is for sure, it has been women that rescued me far more often than any man. I’m not hating on men, mind you. I’m simply trying to say that women don’t need to depend on any man to fix things. I’d rather see women supporting and encouraging one another, lifting each other up, to show the world that we are not just capable of greatness, but we are made for it! Let’s work on saving ourselves!

Sometimes I read profiles in SL and want to tell people, “Shhh, your stupid is showing!” I’m not a big fan of the word stupid, but I swear some people act like their opinions are facts. Seriously, no one knows everything. I know some people like to think they do, but they’re wrong.
I remember one time reading a man’s profile where he said something about SL being the only place that grown women giggle and that if you giggle, don’t talk to him, because real women don’t giggle in the real world. Uhm. I do. Anyone that has ever talked to me on voice will probably tell you that, too. To him, I say, “Shhh, your stupid is showing.”
Just yesterday I saw a girl’s profile that said that if someone else’s profile says, “I’m here to have fun,” what they actually meant was that they try to have sex with everyone they see. Uhm, no. There are lots of ways to have fun that do not involve sex. My friends and I can’t be the only idiots that will ride around on a homestead in cars or boats just flipping each other over and laughing senselessly on voice the entire time! To her, I say, “Shhh, your stupid is showing.”
I had a conversation with a guy that said he didn’t fill in his profile, nor did he bother reading other people’s profiles, because he’d rather talk to a person than read about them. Uhm, our entire conversation is taking place in a text window. Aren’t you reading either way? Why not get a feel for who you are about to talk to? I wish people in real life came with a profile, I’d love that shit! To him, I say, “Shhh, your stupid is showing.”

I know that a lot of people have been to the recent round of Collabor88, tilted their heads and said, “WTF?!” On the other hand, I have been in absolute heaven. Surrealism is my favorite genre of art. This round not only inspires me, but provides me with such an amazing collection of surrealistic creations to bring my ideas to life. Coffee, black like my clothes

Let’s talk about coffee. I’m a bit of purest, I suppose. I mean, I love cream and sugar in my coffee. In fact, I’m really bizarrely picky about my coffee at home. Which is not going to make me sound like a purest at all, but my perfect cup of coffee is going to be Dunkin’s orignal blend with one scoop of Coffeemate’s powder creamer, with two packets of equal. Yeah, yeah, I know…chemicals. I just be ashamed, but it really does make the perfect textured coffee with the perfect flavor…for me. Right, so how the hell am I a purest? Well, I think there are some flavors that fit naturally with coffee and those that don’t. Fruit does not belong in coffee. Period. Vegetables don’t belong in coffee. Period. Creamy flavors like caramel, chocolate, toffee….definitely, on occasion, but not daily. Its like drinking candy and its gross. Nutty flavors are also fine on occasion, but again…daily is too much. Mind you, these are my opinions, but I really feel like they make sense.
I’d rather drink my coffee black for the rest of my life than to put fruit in my coffee EVER. Coconut and pumpkin in coffee is disturbingly disgusting. Now, that’s my opinion and that’s all it is…opinions. Nothing more. The truth is that coffee is amazing and I love how it can be used in recipes, not to mention that coffee has become the foundation for all these crazy concoctions. I won’t like, I will readily drink certain flavored coffees from time to time. I love that there’s something for everyone. If you can’t find a way to enjoy coffee, you are not trying! *laughs* Y’all didn’t see that coming, did you? Ha!

Feel Better

In Second Life, it really is as simple as spending some lindens and the click of a few buttons to look beautiful. However, it takes more than that to be beautiful on the inside. I’m not sure why people would waste so much time and energy on being a nasty human being, but it certainly seems to be as prevalent in SL as it has ever been in RL. Some people go so far as to advertise their bitchiness in their profiles, though to be fair, I suspect that’s more of a defense mechanism. So, it’s like this, surrounding yourself with people that are beautiful on the inside is going to bring out your inner beauty. It works the other way, too, so careful not to surround yourself with too much hate and negativity, cuz no matter how cute you think your avatar is…that personality won’t stay hidden for long. *winks*
