I don’t know about where you live, but where I live we have a few parks. There’s one that’s right next to my house, but its not really a nice park. I mean, it is, but only if you’re an athletic child or a parent of an athletic child. There are ball fields and a gym…a little playground area, but nothing really aimed at adults. There’s a really nice one downtown in the city, but you have to drive to it, then pay for parking…that’s after maneuvering your way through a maze of one way streets. I see pictures, videos and, of course, scenes in movies of people visiting amazing parks in bigger cities and I’m honestly a bit envious. I guess its just another reason to be grateful for Second Life. I can go to any number of amazing parks and sims with just a quick teleport. Then you’ve got amazing designers like unKindness, along with many others, that allow us to create our very own special park right on our own land.
There’s never been a better time to create such a park in SL as there is now, either. Bloom is in full effect until the end of the month and there are so many beautiful spring designs for both your avatar and your land. So, make sure you get over there before it ends and lets welcome summer with some spring in our step.
