We are told over and over again as adults to not settle. As a result we create these lists of things we want from our jobs, our lovers, our homes, our children, and so on. We stay so steadfast on the track of not settling that we rarely open our eyes to possibilities along the way, because sometimes our list, our visual picture of what we want is so specific that we develop tunnel vision. It’s easy to forget that what we wanted when we made that list may have changed over time. Just think how many times you got what you thought you wanted and it was a major disappointment. Sometimes the things we want aren’t actually good for us and what we really need is sitting right in front of us the entire time. I just think it’s important that we don’t lock ourselves down to ideas we created long ago that really might not even work with our current lives. Just something to think about as we approach a new year.

One of the many brands that I’m blesssed to work for and with is Apple Blossom. Dulce36, or I know her, Reyhan is one of the most beautiful souls I’ve had the pleasure to work with on the grid. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is still learning! I’ll admit that not all of her designs are suited to my personal taste, but one thing is for sure. The fit like a glove! I’m super excited about this Amarantha dress that she did for the Bonfire Bash edition of The Liaison Collaborative. It’s simple and plain, yet is just slightly hiked up on one side to give you a bit more sex appeal, plus the trim is incredibly detailed. I love dresses like this, because they provide the perfect opportunity to personalize the look by adding a few accessories. This is especially great for me, as I am an accessories fiend. I highly recommend you drop by the event before it closes on the 26th and try the demo. I’m sure you’ll fall in love.
I love exploring photographic sims. I’ve been a fan of the BKLYN sim since the first time I visited. It is the absolute perfect city sim and fortunately they have a group now that allows for rezzing. They didn’t the first few times I visited. Recently, that group has done up another sim called Midnight in Paris. I finally was able to take the time to explore yesterday and it did not disappoint. It looks the best if you use their region windlight. (I’m not on the whole EEP thing yet.) This sim is perfect for photography and/or a romantic little date. There benches all over the city to provide some romantic conversations and there’s even a small cafe right on the street. I recommend turning on sounds, because the hustle and bustle of the city really adds to the experience. You might even hear some cats fighting in the alley. I did. I won’t say much more, because I encourage you to visit and see for yourself.
My sister, Kess Crystal, opened her winter sim today. It might seem a tad early to some, but in plenty of places around the world…the snow has been on the ground for a while. This sim is absolutely gorgeous and I highly encourage you to check it out. There’s actually activities on the sim, as well. I’m not going to tell you too much about it, because honestly I want you to go check it out for yourself. I know I’ll be coming back to ice skate on this gorgeous ice skating area behind me!
