There’s a lot of hype around the grid about Halloween, but understandably, not everyone is into it. Not every country celebrates it. That’s okay. There’s plenty of fashion to go around. Besides a lot of the Halloween stuff is just goth clothes in the spot light for a month. So, its great for your inner goth or even for those that don’t have one. Just grab a different color. It’s Fall, afterall. It’s a great time to scoop up those warm earthtones and super cute jackets. This adorable set from Seniha is so perfect for the season, wear the lil dress during the day while its still warm out, then toss on this badass lil leather jacket for the evening, right? What’s more fashionable than some multi functioning clothing!?!?

I was hanging out with some of my favorite people last night and one of them made a comment about “lazy homeless” people. I quickly jumped on the defensive. As I have been homeless on a number of occasions in my 20s and there was nothing lazy about my situation. Of course, I encountered loads of other homeless people during those times. I had to explain that while there are some people that simply don’t want to be responsible members of society. However, the bulk of the homeless people I encountered were anything but lazy. As being homeless is not an easy way to live. People that live in shelters must abide by an excess of rules put in place to keep things as orderly as possible. There are curfews and requirements one must continuously make to continue their stay and many shelters have limitations on how long people can reside there. I don’t have specific numbers, but I’d dare say that the majority of homeless people have not chosen that lifestyle as their preferred method of existence. Plus there are far more living without shelter. That is NOT an easy way to live. Its beyond dangerous. Once a person is homeless, it is safe to say that getting back on your feet is ridiculously hard. As I pointed out to my friend, what is the first thing you do the morning of a job interview? Shower, right? If you have no home, you have no shower and probably don’t have much in the way of a clean nice outfit to wear. Anyway, the point is, don’t be so quick to judge people in situations you can’t begin to understand. Turns out that one of the other people there had also experienced homelessness and was glad that I spoke up. Meanwhile, our uninformed friend was enlightened and apologized. I didn’t find the apology necessary, but it was appreciated. I was especially glad that we were all able to have such a beautiful conversation about life without hate or disgust. I won’t name them, because too many private matters were discussed and only my part of the story is mine to tell. I suspect they might read this and because they might I want to give them to know something. I love you and I’m so grateful for your friendship. I look forward to getting to know you even better in the years to come. ♥
Clearly that has nothing to do with the photo. So, I’d like to add that if you have not gotten the Spring Decocrate, this set from Serenity Style is worth getting it, just for this set. Even if you didn’t pre order it, its worth the price. Go grab yours. I have to pay full price, too, cuz I forgot to pre order…lol. You’ll also notice I’m wearing the new Lost Girl dress from Vinyl. This is the first dress Vinyl has released in ages and its so cute! AND it goes perfectly with these new wedges that Breathe released at the Arcade! So get out your wallets, its time to go shopping!!

I really hate seeing posts that try to pit bloggers against creators (and vice versa), because we are all ultimately responsible for ourselves. Though I saw something on Facebook just the other day that attacked a creator for asking too much of their bloggers. Creators have the right to ask whatever they want of bloggers. I’ve seen blogger apps that dictate what can and cannot be written on the blog. I know those are not creators I can blog for, no matter how much I love their store. We have to agree to those terms when we accept a position on their team. If the rules change once I’m already on a team, I’ve learned to discuss it with the blog manager…and if the rules are set in stone and I’m not okay with them…well, that’s when I thank them for the time we had together and I move on. I think that just like creators want fresh faces, the same is true for bloggers wanting to evolve. We are all forever changing.
I get the frustration from both sides, honestly. There’s just no way that everyone will be happy all the time. Its just not how the world works and SL is no different. End of the day, blogging is a choice. Rejections are just part of the deal. We are all human and there are bound to be hurt feelings all around from time to time. However, if we are careful, we can minimize that pain. For instance, using other peoples photos as an example of what NOT to do, especially when they don’t even blog for you…its just RUDE. *glares at a certain store that she will not name or support again* Calling out a store for never taking on bloggers with less than a thousand followers is also rude, because the whole point of blogging is to show the items to as many people as possible. So, yes, they want to know you are reaching a good amount of people…they are giving you their items for free afterall. Instead of resenting that creator, work on building up your following and delivering the best blog you can so that designers will WANT to work with you.
On the flip side, if a blogger takes to social media bashing away at particular creators or even creators in general, you’re taking a huge risk. There are creators and managers that see that and make note of what they see. They speak to one another and speaking out against brands unprofessionally is a huge faux pas. This can, in fact, ruin the credibility of said blogger. Clearly this is not guarantee, but it is a definitive risk. Its important that we think about how this could play out before we go ranting all over social media about how we’ve been personally wronged by a creator. We need to be absolutely sure that we are not over reacting or taking something too personally.
I tried to avoid this topic, because Kess Crystal is a cunt! *laughs* When I wrote the blog, “Dangerous Proposition,” I knew that I was taking a big risk by promising to make a post about every topic or question posted on the blog, FB, or sent to me inworld. My darling, bestie Kess went dark and dirty on me. *shakes her head & laughs* Soooo, Kess said, “I would like you to talk about the 3 worst things you have done on Tequila!” I could write a post for each of them if I were to give a lot of details, but I’m not going to do that. I’m going to keep it short-ish.
I was 19 and drank an entire bottle of tequila at a bonfire. I was there with a date, but it was a massive party and I left with some friends to go to another party. At the 2nd party, I apparently had a very long conversation with a tree. We finally make it back to the bonfire party. Everyone has left except my date and some of his friends. I was so drunk I couldn’t walk. I should probably mention that he had gotten a brand new car earlier that day. Yeah, I made a huge mess of his brand new car….inside and out. *hangs her head*
Last year I was drinking tequila on skype with Kess and I’m pretty sure this is why she asked this damn question. I had turned on my camera to show HER my new black bra, but as I did her RL walked by…so he got a great shot of my tits in my new black bra. I’ve been told I was showing other people my bra later that night. I do not remember doing that.
The last time I drank tequila, I was on skype with a handful of people. At one point I got very sick. I didn’t want them to hear me throwing up, but I didn’t have time to mute. I threw my cordless headset in the sink and in between hurling I would yell, “I’m ok!” and “I’m soo sorry.”
So, there ya have it. Tequila makes Sady a very naughty girl. Of course, I can get plenty naughty without alcohol, too. *winks at Josh*

Shopping heaven has begun, with some major events kicking off like Bloom and Epiphany, then there’s Luxe Box and Kustom9…not to mention Uber is just around the corner and then another round of FaMESHed! Yes, I know there are even more events than that going on…let’s not forget the Fifty Linden Friday rolls around every week…not to mention so many other events that are still going on like ON9…my goodness the list is endless. What I love most is that with almost everything having finally made the conversion to mesh and the prim allowance increase on land, we can finally fill our shelves with tons of gorgeous little knick knacks and flowers, picture frames and more. So, shopping is even more fun that ever. I no longer have to stop myself from buying those adorable collectibles, because I can proudly display them all now.
If I’m completely honest, I can tell you without hesitation that unpacking all my little treasures and finding homes for them all is one of my favorite past times in Second Life. When its all said and done, I can just sit back, play some great tunes and enjoy the fruits of my labor…and sometimes I can literally stop and smell the roses..like the ones on my shelf.
I’m a huge fan of the display name option in SL and I’ve had quite a few, because I love having fun with them. With that said, I’ve seen some that just made me sad for humanity, but then again some of mine have probably made others feel the same way. One thing I love about them is that so many people change theirs around this time of year to reflect an enthusiasm for the holiday season, or the lack thereof. With that said, I present my annual display name: SadyClaws!
I’ve had a few that got me run out of PG places, so a warning to those that haven’t played with display names too much but might feel obliged to now. Keep them pg unless you don’t care.
In the the meantime, please be kind to one another. Remember that suicide rates are highest during the holidays…so please talk to someone if you’re sad…and for those that aren’t sad (YAY!) please be sure to check on your friends that might be. I have to tell you, that when you’re in a dark place and your friends just check in on you? Well, it can make a huge difference. So, be good little humans, and just maybe Santa will bring you something nice this year!

I’m a tad different from everyone else in my family, which should come as no shock to anyone that knows me or where I live. Most of my close friends in SL know that my RL bedroom has dark burgundy walls and all of my decor is black & white, with an abundance of skulls on the walls, shelves, and even the bed. Its a pillow, calm down, I don’t sleep with skeletons. My favorite holiday is Halloween and I love all the clearance sales after Halloween, because its a great time to pick up new and interesting decor.
So, what does this have to do with Christmas? Well, for a while we would put up a tree in every room of our house, smaller table top trees, of course. My favorite tree of all time was an artificial black tree that I decorated with black, silver, and red ornaments. So, when I discovered that there were actually some goth themed ornaments and decor at Tannenbaum I was elated! It really doesn’t matter what kind of tree you want to have…the proper decor will be at Tannenbaum! So, if traditional or candy colored Christmas isn’t your style? Then to you I wish a Dark & Merry Christmas!♥
Tis the season for shopping, Tannenbaum AND Uber just opened! Trust me, there are finds at every turn just waiting for you so mix them up and create a festive winter look all you own. As always, keep smiling and happy shopping! ♥
