Pixel Prom has been a thing for many years in Second Life, but this was my first prom ever. No, I’m not a Euro that’s never had an opportunity to go to prom. I’m in the U.S. I had dates for three out of four proms, but I managed to weasel my way out of all of them except one and technically that was not a prom it was a Military ball and it was the only introduction I needed to formal dresses for me to know that was NOT for me. In fact, I hated that dress and the dance soooo much that I called a friend of mine to come take my place so I could go home and get that god forsaken dress off my body. No, our date did not mind, he was lucky to have a date! She was all about formals so she was more than happy to take my place. *shudders* I will never understand the appeal of those fluffy restrictive dresses. Nope, those are NOT for me. With that said, I was fortunate enough in Second Life to not only have a date, but to find something more suitable to my taste. Chris loved my outfit, so that was all the approval I needed.
Now, I will say this…the actual dance was quite lovely…well, until Chris had to go to bed. Then I was mostly missing him and felt restricted once again by the gown length apparel. Let’s face it, twerking in a gown….doesn’t look great. Ah well, it was an amazing night, even if I had to dress up fancy. I had the most handsome date, too. So, that certainly didn’t hurt. *winks*
