‘Cause I’m my own soulmate (Yeah, yeah) I know how to love me (Love me) I know that I’m always gonna hold me down Yeah, I’m my own soulmate (Yeah, yeah) No, I’m never lonely (Lonely) I know I’m a queen but I don’t need no crown Look up in the mirror like damn she the one One, one, one, one, one, one (The one) Like damn she the one One, one, one (The one) That bitch in the mirror like yeah, I’m in love Love, love, love, love, love, love (In love) Like yeah, I’m in love Love, love, love (In love) Look up in the mirror like damn she the one And she never tell me to exercise We always get extra fries And you know the sex is fire And I gotta testify I get flowers every Sunday I’mma marry me one day True love ain’t something you can buy yourself True love finally happens when you by yourself So if you by yourself, then go and buy yourself Another round from the bottle on the higher shelf
**special thanks to my wifey, Ghoulie Waffles, for introducing me to this song**
Why do I sabotage everything I love? It’s always beautiful until I fuck it up Tell myself I’m safe and lonely With nobody else to break my heart Even though I know you’d never I’m my own worst enemy and think you are Matches in my back pocket I’m the queen of burning bridges I will only let you down Why do I sabotage everything I love? It’s always beautiful until I fuck it up Why do I sabotage everything I love? The walls are closing in because I built them up Why can’t I let myself be happy? (Ooh) Why do I gotta get in my own way? (Ooh) My shoes are worn out, always runnin’ From the reasons that I really wanna stay
One of the challenges of being a blogger is trying to decide the best pose to show off an item. The new No Filter Outfit from Cynful is one of those outfits that looks amazing from all sides and the newest hair from Stealthic, Metropolis, is no different. I hope you all have plenty of lindens on hand, because I see some very pretty things that are just dying to be part of your teensy lil ole inventory. *giggles* If you read my blog, you’re a shopaholic like me and I know damn well you’re inventory isn’t teensy. I need to clean my up before I get locked out of sl for my inventory being too damn big. LOL Oh and y’all know I couldn’t write so little without adding at least SOME lyrics, right? Cuz music is life!!
A heart will swell before it’s hardened With the flick of the hair, it can make you old Another hole to dig my soul in I’ll leave anything bare that keeps me soul
I’d say its fairly obvious that I’m not into anime or even Asian culture. Though, I do love some Asian cuisine! So, the first time I saw or even heard of a kitsune was in Second Life. Even then, I wasn’t all that interested. I just assumed it was a cute creature from Anime. I was like, “Kitsune…huh?” Eventually, I looked it up! What I found surprised me.
Kitsune in the literal sense is the Japanese word for fox. Foxes are a common subject of Japanese folklore; in English, kitsune refers to them in this context. Stories depict legendary foxes as intelligent beings and as possessing paranormal abilities that increase as they get older and wiser. –Wikipedia
If you keep reading the Wiki page about it, you’ll discover that the more tails it’s more powerful, older, and wiser. So, as you can see by just the little bit of information on the Wiki page, kitsune isn’t an anime thing after all. They are part of Japanese folklore more so than anime. Now, I just feel stupid for always assuming that’s what they were. Just a gentle reminder to do a little research before we go running off at the mouth about things we don’t really know about.
There was a time when I was alone No where to go and no place to call home My only friend was the man in the moon And even sometimes he would go away too Then one night, as I closed my eyes I saw a shadow flying high He came to me with the sweetest smile Told me he wanted to talk for a while
These days, I think we’d all like a spa vacation. Unfortunately, due to the current times, that simply isn’t an option for most of us. However, I have found some tranquility by creating my own spa inworld and simply allowing my avatar to enjoy the setting, while I listen to some soft meditation friendly music. It would seem that the creators in SL have a similar idea, as I was able to use the new Urban Spa set from Atelier Burgundy & Pitaya as my foundation, then added elements from other spa sets in my collection to personalize it. There’s quite a bit that isn’t shown here, to include spring water and a mud bath, but I think this photo gives you an accurate view to grasp the idea. Hopefully, it will inspire you to create you own special place of zen. ♥

“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
I’m up all night online I’m looking up my symptoms Tell myself I’m fine But my system just ain’t listenin’ Like ooh This ain’t normal how I’m feelin’, no Ooh Running higher than a fever When my palms start to sweat I feel it in my stomach This is how I get Every time I know you’re comin’ over Ooh Sometimes I think that I might die with you Ooh It’s like I’m almost too alive with you Ahhh Ooh ohh ooh Oh, it feels like My heart’s gonna beat so fast, gonna beat so fast Gonna beat so fast that it might stop
I was hanging out with some of my favorite people last night and one of them made a comment about “lazy homeless” people. I quickly jumped on the defensive. As I have been homeless on a number of occasions in my 20s and there was nothing lazy about my situation. Of course, I encountered loads of other homeless people during those times. I had to explain that while there are some people that simply don’t want to be responsible members of society. However, the bulk of the homeless people I encountered were anything but lazy. As being homeless is not an easy way to live. People that live in shelters must abide by an excess of rules put in place to keep things as orderly as possible. There are curfews and requirements one must continuously make to continue their stay and many shelters have limitations on how long people can reside there. I don’t have specific numbers, but I’d dare say that the majority of homeless people have not chosen that lifestyle as their preferred method of existence. Plus there are far more living without shelter. That is NOT an easy way to live. Its beyond dangerous. Once a person is homeless, it is safe to say that getting back on your feet is ridiculously hard. As I pointed out to my friend, what is the first thing you do the morning of a job interview? Shower, right? If you have no home, you have no shower and probably don’t have much in the way of a clean nice outfit to wear. Anyway, the point is, don’t be so quick to judge people in situations you can’t begin to understand. Turns out that one of the other people there had also experienced homelessness and was glad that I spoke up. Meanwhile, our uninformed friend was enlightened and apologized. I didn’t find the apology necessary, but it was appreciated. I was especially glad that we were all able to have such a beautiful conversation about life without hate or disgust. I won’t name them, because too many private matters were discussed and only my part of the story is mine to tell. I suspect they might read this and because they might I want to give them to know something. I love you and I’m so grateful for your friendship. I look forward to getting to know you even better in the years to come. ♥
Clearly that has nothing to do with the photo. So, I’d like to add that if you have not gotten the Spring Decocrate, this set from Serenity Style is worth getting it, just for this set. Even if you didn’t pre order it, its worth the price. Go grab yours. I have to pay full price, too, cuz I forgot to pre order…lol. You’ll also notice I’m wearing the new Lost Girl dress from Vinyl. This is the first dress Vinyl has released in ages and its so cute! AND it goes perfectly with these new wedges that Breathe released at the Arcade! So get out your wallets, its time to go shopping!!
