Should I?

Recently, I was told that my blog is too long winded, that I write too much. I was told that no one wants to read all that. I was asked why do I write so damn much? My reply was  simply, “It’s therapeutic.” I went on to explain that I write for me and that I don’t expect anyone, especially everyone, to read it. People can always just scroll on down to the photo and credits if they’re not interested in what I have to write about on any particular day. Hell, I’m a blog manager, I can’t always read every blog. Though to be fair, most of my bloggers don’t write anything at all. It made me wonder if I’m wasting my time by writing when I blog. If my writing is therapeutic and mostly for me, should I just keep an online journel, then just post pictures and credits for my blog?

  1. Keep writing, I am reading. I’m off to start following your blog. I absolutely enjoy writing and as much as seeing people read my blog makes me feel like I’m doing something great, the thought of people not reading it wouldn’t discourage me from writing, if they don’t read it today they would eventually so let me keep updating the blog till then

  2. Keep writing, it’s becoming a lost art! Folks who don’t like to read can just look at the pictures, bless ’em, and let their intellect atrophy. *smiles*

  3. Some people like me read your blogs, and you don’t oblige anyone to read! Keep being yourself not because some people like you as you are, but because YOU do!

  5. After a several hiatus, your blog is the first blog I stumbled across. I recently started writing again because, yes, it is therapeutic. Dusted off the ol blog to reintroduce being long winded and engage in therapy with words regularly. You got a follower out of me. Keep writing!
