Well, it’s happened again. I’ve grabbed a topic from the posts of Facebook friends to discuss in my blog. This one is actually about bloggers and to make it even better, I’ve taken some of the comments for other posts. I so love the blogging community for providing so many topics. As always, I will not name anyone as it is not my goal to hurt feelings or point fingers. Some of you may recognize the topic, most of you won’t.
Today’s topic comes from a popular blogger than took to Facebook to complain about the way some bloggers seem to put absolutely no effort into their photos and post the same basic type of photos over and over again.
Naturally, there were comments to support both sides of the argument. Though to be completely honest, I felt as the best comment was a statement within paragraph response, “Each to their own because if we all did the same thing then no one would stand out.” That summed it up for me, right there. Here’s why….
I’m a blog manager and despite what people think, it is my goal to find the best representatives for the brands I work for. That does not mean, I go for the people with the absolute most followers. While I do want a handful of those people on every team, I also want a diverse collection of bloggers from various communities across the grid. I want bloggers that keep it simple and I want bloggers that are over the top. I thought it was funny that this particular blogger stated that she hates how little effort other people are putting into their photos, because I am constantly worried that my photos are so all over the place that I do not have a definitive style.
I’m not sure which bloggers prompted her post or why, but as I say all the time, its her page and she’s entitled to post her opinions on her page any ole time she wants. People that don’t like it can unfollow, unfriend or whatever else they want. I say speak your truth, share your opinions, tell us what you think, no matter who you are….say what you want when you want. Isn’t that how we really get to know each other?
