Deva’s Question

I have to admit I was a bit nervous when I did the post, “Dangerous Proposition.” For one thing, I wasn’t sure if anyone would even read the post, much less comment with a suggestion. While there hasn’t been a great deal of responses, I did get enough to keep me writing a bit longer. Today, I’m going to attempt to answer Deva Westland. She said, “You know… one thing I would ask you, blog wise… is kind of that “What would you say to your younger self” thing. I know you gave excellent advice to new bloggers the other month, but is there anything you have learned about yourself, or SL/ your SL through blogging which has been interesting?”
Leave it to Deva to ask me such a loaded question. The problem with talking to myself in the past is that the younger me wouldn’t listen. She never did. I still don’t. I try to, I promise I do, but I’m a student of Hard Knocks. The most valuable lessons in my life have been learned the hardest way possible. I’ve learned a lot more about photography and a good bit about promoting my blog. I’ve learned to become a blog manager and that I actually love being a blog manager as if not more than blogging itself. I just love seeing how creative people can be and I’m blown away by some of the talent. It really does show when a blogger loves what they do vs a blogger that clearly does blogging for free stuff and attention. That’s about as clear of an answer as I can give, Devalicious. I’m not sure if I did your question justice, but I tried. ♥
